I spent two days in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. It was a fantastic visit. I saw a lot of animals, including a lot of birds.

The number of birds was quite fascinating. Among them was the Kori Bustard (Ardeotis kori, german: Riesentrappe, french: Outarde kori), the heaviest bird capable of flight. Males are 1.1 m (3.6 ft) long and 0.6-0.9 m (2.0-3.0 ft) tall. The heaviest birds can weigh over 20 kg (40 lb).
